Idealite is helping Syngenta keep one trusted source of crop data and spot crop utilization trends across soil and sun conditions.
{ Project Overview }
About the Project
Syngenta Group is a global agricultural science company whose work spans seeds, crop protection and digital agriculture. Across a business like this, decisions rest on crop data: the attributes recorded for each crop, and how crops are utilized under different growing conditions. When those attributes are unchecked or held in several places, teams cannot be sure they are working from the same reliable facts. Syngenta's internal template validation tool is designed to close that gap. It validates crop attributes and centralizes them, so teams have one trusted reference. It also uses AI to analyze trends in crop utilization against the conditions crops face: soil content, moisture, granularity, texture and soil condition, along with sun conditions. Idealite is working with Syngenta on this tool in a current engagement, across crop attribute validation, centralization and AI trend analysis.

{ The Challenge }
Teams Need Crop Data They Can Trust
Key Challenges
- No single trusted record of crop attributes
- Teams unsure which crop data is right
- Unchecked data weakens confidence in decisions
- Crop utilization trends hard to spot
- Soil and sun links hard to see
{ Our Solution }
Validated Crop Data With AI-Surfaced Trends
- Checked, trusted crop data
- One shared crop reference
- AI-surfaced crop utilization trends
- Soil and sun context
{ How We Built It }
Development Process
How the Syngenta engagement came together, step by step.
- 01
Understand the Teams and Their Data
Learn which crop attributes Syngenta's teams rely on and what a record needs before they can trust it.
- 02
Check Data Before It Counts
Make sure crop attributes are checked before teams rely on them.
- 03
Create One Shared Reference
Bring checked crop attributes into one central place that teams can treat as their reference.
- 04
Surface Condition-Linked Trends
Apply AI to bring out crop utilization trends across soil and sun conditions.
- 05
Keep Improving With Syngenta
Continue developing the tool with Syngenta in this current engagement.
{ Results & Impact }
Delivering Business Value
Trusted Crop Data
Teams can avoid relying on crop attributes that were never checked.
One Central Record
Validated crop attributes sit in one central place teams can refer to.
Visible Utilization Trends
AI brings crop utilization trends into view for Syngenta's teams.
Condition-Linked Evidence
Teams can see how soil and sun conditions relate to crop utilization.

Objectives
- Reliable Crop Records: Make sure the crop attributes teams rely on have been checked before they are used.
- Single Shared Reference: Give teams one central place for crop attributes so everyone works from the same facts.
- Condition-Linked Insight: Help teams see how crop utilization trends with soil and sun conditions.
Requirements
- Template validation: validate crop attributes through Syngenta's internal template validation service.
- Centralization: keep validated crop attributes in one central place.
- AI trend analysis: analyze trends in crop utilization against soil content, moisture, granularity, texture, soil condition and sun conditions.
- Internal use: the tool serves Syngenta's internal teams and is not public.
Challenges & solutions
- Data trust: a central source is only useful if what goes into it is reliable, so crop attributes are validated as part of centralizing them.
- Several condition factors: crop utilization trends are analyzed against several soil factors and sun conditions, not a single variable.
Outcomes
- Teams can work from crop attributes that have been validated and held in one central place.
- AI analysis lets teams see how crop utilization trends with soil and sun conditions.
