About the Project

Crown Holdings, Inc., formerly Crown Cork & Seal, makes metal packaging, including beverage and food cans, in plants around the world. In two-piece can making, the cup is the first formed stage: it is drawn from metal sheet and then ironed into a can body. Running that work across many plants means keeping track of each site, its production lines and workstations, and the cups they produce. Crown's internal monitoring tool keeps those details in one consistent record. It notes down each plant's details, the attributes of its lines and workstations, and all cup attributes, inside the applications Crown uses worldwide. With every site described alike, Crown can follow production and compare plants across its network. Idealite designed the monitoring tool for recording cup attributes and plant details.
