About the Project
Bhavyata Foundation is a Mumbai-based nonprofit focused on empowering the urban underprivileged and uplifting rural communities. Guided by its mantra "Build, Value, and Transform," it runs six initiatives, each with its own programs: Hunger Free Nation, School of Sustenance, Sowing the Seeds, Lessons for Life, Bridge for Artisans and India First. Its work depends on many kinds of support. Donors can back specific campaigns, and gifts qualify for Section 80G tax deduction. Individuals and companies can become annual members, companies can also give through CSR, volunteers and interns can take part, and shoppers support it through the Shop a Cause campaign and online bookstore. Each group arrives with a different goal, and the foundation needs to keep sharing events, stories and reports as its programs grow. Idealite created the foundation's entire website on WordPress, giving every supporter a direct route from cause to action.

Development Process
How the Bhavyata Foundation engagement came together, step by step.
- 01
Understand the Foundation
Mapped the six initiatives, their programs and everyone who supports them: donors, members, companies, volunteers, interns and shoppers.
- 02
Organize Around Causes
Organized the site around causes, so supporters can browse any initiative from any page and give from wherever they are.
- 03
Build the Giving Paths
Set up campaign-based giving that shows progress toward each goal and states 80G eligibility, plus five individual and three corporate membership tiers.
- 04
Route Every Supporter
Gave CSR partners, volunteers, interns and collaborators their own entry points, so each audience reaches the right page directly.
- 05
Open the Store
Launched the Shop a Cause store, so supporters can buy the foundation's books online.
- 06
Set Up Ongoing Updates
Gave events, blogs, videos and downloads such as annual reports their own sections, so the foundation can keep sharing its progress.

Objectives
- Show Every Cause: Give each of the six initiatives and their programs a clear place that supporters can find.
- Turn Interest Into Giving: Let donors fund specific campaigns, follow their progress and see that gifts qualify for Section 80G tax deduction.
- Widen Support Options: Offer memberships, CSR partnerships, volunteering and internships alongside one-time donations.
- Sell for a Cause: Sell the foundation's books online, so purchases support its work.
- Keep Supporters Informed: Let the foundation share events, stories, videos and reports as its programs grow.
Requirements
- Present every initiative and its programs in a navigable structure.
- Support campaign-based donations with raised-versus-goal tracking and Section 80G tax-deduction eligibility stated.
- Offer individual and corporate membership tiers.
- Provide Fundraise/CSR, volunteer, internship, career and collaboration pages.
- Run an online store with product categories, cart and customer accounts.
- Host events, blogs, audio/video, image galleries and downloads such as brochures and annual reports.
Architecture
- The live site runs on WordPress with the Kunco charity theme (child theme) and WPBakery Page Builder; Slider Revolution runs the homepage slider.
- On the live site, GiveWP powers the donation campaigns and WooCommerce powers the store.
- Seven top-level sections in a mega-menu: Home, About, Initiatives, Support Us, Shop, Engage and Media.
- Each initiative has a landing page that lists its programs; most program URLs nest beneath it (e.g. /initiatives/lessonforlife/preschools/).
Technology stack
- WordPress
Front end
- Mega-menu navigation with program links grouped by initiative.
- Initiative landing pages that list their programs, plus program detail pages.
- Homepage hero slider and an activity carousel filterable by initiative.
- Site-wide Donate Now button in the header.
- Donation campaign cards showing amount raised against goal.
- Breadcrumb trails on pages such as About, Donate and Shop.
Back end
- WordPress CMS for pages, events, blogs and media.
- On the live site, GiveWP handles donation campaigns and WooCommerce handles the store, cart and customer accounts.
Challenges & solutions
- Every initiative carries several programs, and visitors needed a structure they could scan quickly.
- Individual donors, members, volunteers and interns each arrive looking for a different next step.
- Section 80G tax-deduction eligibility had to be visible to donors, so the site states it beside campaign cards on initiative pages and in the footer of every page.
- The Shop a Cause campaign needed an online store; today it sells the foundation's books, and its category list leaves room for artisan goods.
- CSR partners and workplace groups need a separate route, through Fundraise/CSR and corporate memberships.
- Events, blogs, videos and reports keep coming, so the site had to stay easy to update.
Outcomes
- Idealite delivered the foundation's entire website, built on WordPress.
- Donations, memberships, CSR partnerships and book sales all start from one site.
- Supporters can browse all six initiatives and their programs from any page.
- Donors can fund specific campaigns, see progress against each goal and confirm Section 80G eligibility.
- Individuals and companies can join through five individual and three corporate membership tiers.
- CSR partners, volunteers and interns each have their own route to get involved.
- The Shop a Cause store lets supporters buy the foundation's books online, with purchases supporting its work.
